Al Shifa Homoeopathic Clinic: Desktop EMR & Pharmacy
Client project: Al Shifa Homoeopathic Clinic is a Windows desktop clinic system for a Lahore homoeopathic practice. Staff install a desktop app, work offline for patients, visits, pharmacy, and billing, and can optionally back up clinic data to the cloud. Delivered by Compile Vision.
Architecture & workflows
How this client engagement was built, deployed, and operated.
What the clinic app covers
One Windows desktop app for day-to-day clinic work: patients, visits, pharmacy, prescriptions, and finance, with optional cloud backup.
Application modules
Feature areas staff use daily. Login protects access; modules cover clinical, pharmacy, and business ops.
Patient clinical workflow
Register a patient, open a treatment, record the visit, print a prescription, then log payment or lab notes.
How the pieces fit
| Flow | What happens |
|---|---|
| Offline-first desktop | Windows installer for the clinic PC. Daily clinical and pharmacy work runs locally. |
| Patient lifecycle | Register, treatments, visits, prescriptions, and payments with search for revisit lookup. |
| Pharmacy inventory | Medicines with stock, restock, expiry tracking, and export options. |
| Printable prescriptions | Consistent English prescription printouts for each visit. |
| Finance ops | Payments, clinic expenses, walk-in sales, and dashboard stats. |
| Cloud backup | Optional online backup so clinic data is not trapped on a single PC. |
| Secure access | Staff login protects patient and clinic records on the desktop app. |
Overview
Offline-first Windows clinic app for patients, visits, medicines, prescriptions, billing, and Google Drive-backed SQLite sync.
The problem and challenges
The clinic ran day-to-day work on paper and fragmented records: scattered patient history, hard-to-track medicine stock, manual prescriptions without a consistent printable layout, no reliable offline-first system with cloud backup, and no single place for sales and expenses. Staff needed a simple Windows installer, not a browser SaaS setup.
What we built
We delivered a Windows desktop clinic app covering patients, clinical visits and vitals, treatments, pharmacy inventory, printable prescriptions, labs, payments, expenses, and direct sales. Secure staff login protects access. Optional cloud backup keeps data recoverable without requiring internet for daily work.
What we solved
Paper and ad-hoc records were replaced with a structured clinic workflow in one installable app. Daily use does not depend on the cloud; backups reduce data-loss risk; revisit lookup is faster; pharmacy visibility covers stock, potency, expiry, and exports.
